Environmental Policy

Avara Technologies designs and manufactures industrial grade communications equipment. Our products provide mission critical communications infrastructure for utility companies, road and rail operators, and governments world-wide. This provides us with an opportunity and an obligation to promote and demonstrate high standards of environmental management and stewardship.

Avara Technologies will:


• Continually work toward improving our environmental performance by establishing targets to manage our activities to conserve energy and to decrease the use of non-renewable resources, especially those produced by methods that may pollute the environment. We are committed to review and continually improve these activities through the operation of an environmental management system certified to ISO14001.
• Design and manufacture products with consideration for both upstream and downstream environmental impact by following ‘Design for Environment’ guidelines, in the design, production, and end-of-life disposal of the products we design and manufacture, and by working with suppliers and sales channel partners who subscribe to the same environmental considerations.
• Monitor and comply with all relevant environmental laws and relevant standards and practices.
• Operate in a manner that is environmentally responsible.
• Reduce process waste and other waste going to landfill.
• Minimise our energy consumption.
• Recycle.

Health & Safety Policy

• Avara is firmly committed to a policy enabling all work activities to be carried out safely, and with all possible measures taken to remove (or at least reduce) risks to the health, safety and welfare of workers, contractors, authorised visitors, and anyone else who may be affected by our operations.
• We are committed to ensuring that we comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, OHS Regulations 2017, compliance codes, laegislation and policy, and the Australian Standards as far as possible.
• Avara is committed to its OHS Management System and will continually improve its effectiveness.
