IEEE 802.1Q VLAN’s offers significant benefits in terms of efficient use of bandwidth, flexibility in network design, and security. VLANs allow devices distributed throughout the network to be grouped together based on logical function rather than physical location.

Avara’s OAP440 VLAN and traffic management features makes it possible to classify and protect critical devices in the network from unauthorized user access, unwanted traffic, broadcast storms, or malfunctioning devices.
