ORA - Optical Raman Amplifier

The Avara OptoHopper series of optical amplifiers are designed for use in long haul PDH, SDH or SONET optical transmission systems.


The ORA series of booster amplifiers are installed after the optical transmitter to increase transmission distances for single wavelength optical transmission systems.


The ORA series are Erbium doped fibre amplifier (RAMAN) providing optical output power up to 18dBm for long haul applications. The ORA series is designed for use in SDH transmission applications and has been specifically designed to integrate with Ericsson / Marconi SDH product range.
